Pre-sorting mailing lists

If you are not familiar with mail pre-sorting it may be difficult to understand exactly how it works, after all the government controls it. We all understand how the government can take a simple thing and make it extraordinarily complex.

The concept of mail presorting is quite simple, the U.S.P.S. will give you reduced bulk mail rates, if you do some of the work that they normally do.   Mainly this entails the sorting of your mail to various levels. However it is at this point that the simplicity ends. As I said the government, or more specifically the Postal Service has set the rules and procedures for mail presorting. Some of the basic rules are:

A first class mailing must be at least 500 pieces to qualify for presort rates

A second class mailing must be at least 200 pieces to qualify for presort rates

The first level of sortation is called the "three digit level." This sorts your mail to the first three digits of the recipients zip code. The first three digits tell the post office what city the mail is supposed to go to. This is the most common level of sortation.

The next sortation level is the "five digit level." This sorts to the first five digits of the recipients zip code. The first five digits tell the post office not only what city the mail is supposed to go to, but also the specific area of that city.

What we do for you?

We will presort your mailing list using state of the art software, which contains the most current U.S.P.S. Zip code information. The software looks up the address of the recipient and assigns the correct eleven (11) digit barcode to the recipients listing. ( an eleven digit barcode must be printed on all presorted mail) It then sorts your list to the five (5) digit level, and generates all of the reports that are required by the United States Postal Service for a bulk mailing.

At this point you would have three choices:

1. We can send the presorted list to you, in any format you require (excel,access,etc.) and also the U.S.P.S. paperwork.

2. We can use the presorted list to laser print address labels for you. We would then send the labels to you with the U.S.P.S. paperwork.

3. We can use the presorted list to laser print your envelopes, brochures, etc. stuff your envelopes, and process the mailing.

If you have 500, 5,000, or even 50,000 entries in your database, we can handle that, and any other aspect of your mailing.

Fullfillment

What is fulfillment? In short fulfillment is the gathering, packaging, addressing, and mailing of sales literature, products, etc.

Send us your sales literature or products with your packaging and we will fulfill your orders or send your sales information out on a daily basis. You supply the names and addresses of the recipient and we will  supply the time and labor to get your product or information on its way to your customer.

This service allows you, your salesmen, and your other employees to concentrate on those aspests of your business that generate capitol. Your business will be more profitable because you will spend more time selling, and no time fulfilling orders.

Your labor costs will be reduced. Why hire a person to handle your fulfillment in house, when you can have us do it for you, and only charge you for the time it takes to prepare your package(s).
